Background Info:

I grew up in Redding, California. I graduated from Simpson University in Redding, with a Cross- Cultural Studies, Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003. During a missions trip to Ukraine in 2000 I received my call to be a full-time missionary. After leading a summer team to Japan with Asian Access in 2002, my passion for the lost people of Japan has grown more and more. I desire to see a fruitful church-plant in Japan during my 3 year term, 2004-2007.

Ministry Assignment:

Church Planting Associate. I have been with Asian Access since 2002.

Go! Go on a short-term trip and experience it for yourself. Keep walking through open doors until God closes them or opens them wider.

When in Japan...

Try all of the great food! Don’t forget your umbrella or your camera. Get ready to experience and learn about one of the most deep and interesting cultures in the world.

I would love to talk with anyone who is interested in missions and has questions. Also if you have questions about a Christian College education, I would love to share my experience.

Meaningful ministry memories...

While sharing the gospel with my English class in the summer of 2002 in Japan, a woman said to me, "Kari, you are going to be a good missionary? I see light in you." This was my most memorable moment in ministry. A non-believer was seeing the light of Jesus Christ through me!

Lessons learned...

BE FLEXIBLE!!!! You never know what will happen next. God is God , I am not, and I am so glad. The lord is in control of all things.

Personal thoughts...

My life song is "Hands and Feet" by Audio Adrenaline. This is my prayer: "I want to be your hands, I want to be your feet. I will go where you send me and I will try to touch the world like you have touched my life!"
