Why am I serving with Asian Access?
Dana was a stay-at-home mom for 2½ years. Her and Daniel decided to put Ethan into preschool, which meant that she had to return to work. She had gotten a job working as an accountant with a construction company. Though she was thankful for the job, she was not treated well. She began to pray for a job where she could be happy and work with wonderful people. God answered her prayers 5 months later, when she was blessed with a job at Asian Access as a Staff Accountant. |
Background Information
Dana was born in California and grew up moving frequently. She became a Christian at the age of 12. On one of her many moves, she met Daniel in high school. The two became good friends, until Dana moved. It took 8 years and a lot of help from God for the two to reconnect. The two of them were married 2 years later, and currently reside in Fontana, California with their young son, Ethan.

I've served as Staff Accountant at Asian Access since February 2008.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Dana’s favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It talks about God having a plan for you and giving you hope. This is the verse in which Daniel and Dana have used as a foundation for their marriage and their lives. They are reminded daily no matter what God has a plan. This is what they are teaching their son — to trust in God, know that He has a plan that gives hope and a future.
How has God blessed your life this past year?
God has blessed Dana this year with a job at Asian Access. Working for Asian Access is an awesome experience. Another blessing has been watching Ethan grow and asking questions about God; to see your child begin to understand who God and Jesus are is a blessing. Also waiting to see what God has in store for us as a family, they don’t know where He is taking them, but He has a plan.
How did you find out about Asian Access?
While Dana was working at her previous job she went to Agape Employment Agency. There she met a wonderful woman named Carol, who prayed with Dana about finding a great job that would please the Lord. After months of praying, Carol heard that Asian Access needed a Staff Accountant. After praying, she felt that God wanted Dana to apply. Carol set up an interview and the next day Dana was hired.
What do you find rewarding about working to enable missionaries to serve in Asia?
Dana heard that Asian Access was the best kept secret. She came to love working with everyone at Asian Access. It amazes her that God has blessed her with a job where she gets a chance to help so many people. In her position she gets a chance to communicate with not only the missionaries but with people who give to the missionaries. Dana is so excited to be apart of God’s big plan and to hear what God is doing all throughout Asia is awesome. She highly recommends reading the blogs from the missionaries, to see how God is moving throughout Asia.
