Why A2?

Why are we serving with Asian Access?

I love this family! From day one I have sensed that this is a SOLID group of people earnestly seeking the Glory of God. I wouldn’t want to work with any other organization because Asian Access truly is my family.

Background Info:

Millie received an MA in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College Graduate School in 2005. She first went to Japan as an exchange student in 1994. In 2004, Millie served as the Summer Team leader for a group of Wheaton College students.

Ministry Assignment

Millie is now a candidate, raising support to be a Church Planting Associate.
She as been serving with Asian Access since 2005.

Words of wisdom:

Pray, pray, pray! Stop researching and thinking about what your dreams are. Spend serious time seeking after the Lord. Ask Him to give you a heart for the people group to whom you may minister.

What would I like my "ulimtate contributions" to be?

I want to honor God by living a fully surrendered life to Him. This obedience requires active faith.

Funny missionary story:

In our training for summer teams, we heard many times not to admire something too much because the owner may try to give it to you. In my nervousness, I forgot this advice as I was searching for something to talk about with some people I was standing with. I was admiring some ornate origami swans. This story ends with each one of our team members flying home with not only one, but two of the swans of our own!

When in Japan, be sure to...

try out an onsen (hot spring). It’s so relaxing!

Important lessons learned:

FLEXIBILITY! This is the key to any type of ministry anywhere. When you let go of your own ambitions, the Lord can do so much more!
