Background Info:

The Wilding family served in Japan from 1993-2001. They worked in partnership with the Japanese Church, and their primary focus was evangelism. Their basic philosophy of ministry was that the strongest witness to a Japanese non-Christian is a Japanese Christian; therefore, Japanese partners were involved with all of their outreach ministries. Some of their outreach efforts have included: English classes, Bible studies, cooking classes, college ministry, taking groups abroad and building personal relationships. Though they are now living and working in Texas, the Wildings remain committed to Asian Access! They had much to say about their life in Japan:

Ministry Assignment:

Volunteer mobilizer and promoter

When you're in Japan, be sure to...

bring good walking shoes, be ready to eat interesting foods, and experience God's creation in a new culture.

Funniest story of life in Japan...

When sharing my testimony in Japanese for the first time in a large group settings, I said that I had accepted Jesus into my "car (kuruma)" instead of my heart (kokoro).

Why Japan?

To share Jesus Christ with the Japanese people. To let them know that there is One God, who loves and cares for them and has redeemed them.

In Japan, we enjoy...

Going to the "public bath houses" or "Onsen."
