The other day, I had the privilege of watching five A2/Cambodia graduates share their learning with a small village several hours northeast of Phnom Penh. The alumni from Cambodia frequently visit towns like this to pass on what they have learned.

They invited a pastor from South Africa named Cecil to share and he did an excellent job presenting five keys from John 20. Later that afternoon, he talked about the importance of stepping out in faith, much like when Peter walked on water in Matthew 14.

As my daughters were asking Cecil questions during the break out session, he described how the work of groups like A2 was so important yet so difficult to fund. He said much of his continent (Africa) suffered from the more popular work of seeing thousands of people coming to Christ. That is what excites people, he said. But, the more sustainable work over the long haul is investing in small groups who will walk faithfully and reproduce what they have been learning.

I praise God for leaders like Meng Aun Hour (above), A2/Cambodia national director for taking the slow route of investing in a few at a time. Today, there are nearly 100 pastors that have graduated from Asian Access/Cambodia and most of them are reproducing the training in small seminars like the one we saw today.

I’d love to hear from you. What are your thoughts on reproducibility? What will bring long term kingdom fruit?
