This campaign has been met, but you can still give toward Nepal Earthquake Relief!

Family Rebuilding Packages only $130

The people of Nepal are still reeling from the worst disaster to hit their country since 1934. But you can make a difference in the life of a family there today.

Devastation & Homelessness

The initial 7.8 earthquake struck Kathmandu on April 25, 2015, with significant aftershocks on April 26 and May 12. Over 9,000 lives were lost, 23,000 injured and more than 2,000,000 people displaced from their homes. People are living in tents with nowhere to turn.

I’ve never seen such devastation as when visiting the countryside of Nepal this June and July.

Opportunities for the Gospel

In spite of all of these setbacks, the work of Christ is alive and growing in Nepal. Asian Access has developed over 70 leaders in Nepal over the past decade. Here’s a direct quote from the leaders of Asian Access Nepal following the disaster:

"During this troubled time, Joe,
we have reached 13 earthquake-
devastated districts, ministered to
6,500 people, and built two schools.”

Asian Access is continuing to assist our colleagues as they minister to their fellow Nepalese. Our partners are now focused on assembling and distributing Family Rebuilding Packages. For just $130 per package, our colleagues can provide the following to help a family of six to get back on their feet:

FAMILY REBUILDING PACKAGE:

  • Tin sheets and bamboo poles to construct a simple shelter
  • A supply of rice, lentils, cooking oil, and salt
  • Bowls, plates, utensils, etc.
  • Towels
  • Soaps - for personal washing and for clothes washing
  • Blankets to provide flooring and bedrolls
  • Mosquito nets
  • Candy for the kids

Family Rebuilding Package

Providing a Family Rebuilding Package is an open door for the Gospel!
One Nepalese woman personally explained to Silk and me a week ago:

"The people who don't worship idols... they help us!"

You Can Help a Family Get a New Start!

Your gifts will make a significant impact! Would you prayerfully consider giving $130 to help a family rebuild? Or perhaps you can provide more than one package—maybe $260 or even $390?

His Grace and Peace for the people of Nepal,

Polycentric Leadership: a leadership model for a polarized world

The past thirteen months have been one of the most disruptive seasons in my lifetime. A global pandemic, one of the worst economies of the century, and a divisive political environment were all contributors. We have faced lock downs, loss of incomes and jobs, and the disease itself—as we still do at this time.
