Asian Access Celebrates 50 Years of Ministry

Jubilee in Jakarta, April 2017What does the phrase ‘Jubilee in Jakarta’ bring to mind? Certainly, a celebration…probably one in Indonesia. You’d be right on both counts. Asian Access (A2), a ministry dedicated to leadership development and church planting in Asia, is marking what God has done with the initial vision of empowering pastors in Japan 50 years ago. Read more...

 Aspens, Banyans, and Strawberries

Joe Handley and Loren CunninghamWhat a joy it was for me to participate with Bishop Efraim Tendero at the World Evangelical Alliance gathering of Associate Members to brainstorm the future of the movement. Growing Reports of Violence and Persecution

political prisonerYou may have already noticed but since the beginning of the year it seems like there has been an explosion of reports about persecution and violence related to religious issues in the world. "God used Asian Access to equip me for my new ministry"

Indian pastorRecently, we had the opportunity to meet with an Asian Access graduate who has seen God use his Asia Access experience to prepare him for his new ministry. Prasanna Vuppula (who goes by Pras) is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, in south-central India. A long-time pastor, he realized several years ago that while on the outside his ministry looked good, inside, he was struggling spiritually. Read more...

"I Feel Like A Tree With Roots Now"

SE Asian pastors"I was like a tree without roots and on the verge of burning out. Life and ministry felt like a desert until Pastor Richard Brohier shared with us about having deep roots. I thank God for Pastor Richard and for Asian Access. You have brought new life to me and to my ministry." Read more...

On The Right Side of a Crisis

compassI am directionally challenged. If I tell my wife while driving to ‘turn right,' I really mean left. I am not the most reliable navigator. At times I find that I can be 'directionally challenged' in my walk of faith and ministry path as well and must intentionally put the Lord before me, as my compass and stabilizer. When I do that, I experience resiliency even in times of crisis. Read more...

Ajith FernandoThe countdown began, and Asian Access' Jubilee in Jakarta was underway.
