Pressures on Christians in many parts of Asia have never been greater. Government repression, religious extremism, and outright persecution are on the rise. But in spite of these pressures—or perhaps because of them--God continues to open doors to provide courageous leaders the opportunity to form new Asian Access movements.
One such opportunity is happening right now. 19 leaders from a “closed” country are sharing the issues and problems they face in their country with ADV (National Director for A2/Sri Lanka and Vice President for Partnership Development) and MAH (National Director for A2/Cambodia). ADV and MAH are facilitating an Orientation Session, giving these leaders a “taste” of the Asian Access learning community.
Exploring the possibility Asian Access beginning in this country has been a more than five-year journey, with many twists and turns that I can’t discuss specifically, that has now culminated with these 19 leaders meeting together in this room. But even the twists and turns illustrate how God’s hand has been on the process from the beginning. And it feels really good just to be sitting in this room, basking in the spirit of these determined and energetic leaders.
Thank you so much for your friendship, prayers, and financial support for what God is doing through Asian Access. You make it possible for us to celebrate the opening of another door for the Gospel in another so-called “closed” country.
Please keep this country, and its leaders, in your prayers. Thank you!
