Three countries work together to lead an A2 session
Every organization, both spiritual and secular, has vision and mission statements, and Asian Access is no exception.
Our vision is:
To see a vibrant community of servant leaders with vision, character and competence leading the church across Asia.
And our mission is:
To identify, develop and release emerging kingdom leaders to unite the church, multiply leaders and congregations, and extend the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Making vision and mission a reality is an ongoing challenge for any organization, and Asian Access is no exception. So it is especially encouraging when everything comes together beautifully, as it just has in one of our newest countries (which, for security reasons, we cannot identify by name).
Three key leadership roles are involved to facilitate an Asian Access training session:
- The in-country leadership;
- the A2 Liaison who works with those leaders;
- and the faculty brought in for the session
Historically, the A2 Liaison and faculty roles have often been filled by Westerners. While everyone deeply appreciates the investment made by these dedicated men and women of God, the dream is for these roles to be filled more and more by leaders from Asia. Not only does this deepen the empowerment of our Asian leaders, it increases Asian Access’ capacity to sustain the movement for the long term.
That dream was realized this October at the sixth session for the new country’s first A2 cohort. From the first, the A2 Liaison role for this country has been filled by leaders from India. And at this sixth session, the teaching faculty were from another of our A2 countries (which also cannot be named for security reasons). In other words, all three key leadership areas were filled by leaders from Asia.
God is blessing A2’s efforts to truly empower the leaders God has raised up in Asia. We are confident that this recent A2 session is the model for many future sessions where the “Asian Access Trifecta” will again be achieved.
Thank you for your friendship, prayers, and financial support that helps to make the “Asian Access Trifecta” a reality!
