I just read a report from one of the members of the A2 Community. I wanted you to be encouraged, but for security reasons, I've removed specific details that might pose a safety threat.
Gratitude for Your Prayers
I returned from ______________ just a few days ago. I want to thank all of you for your prayers for me and the pastors in _____________ during this time. Our travels were safe; the investment in the lives of the participants was just so very, very, good. I was very pleased with how the sessions went. No difficulties with officials, although at one point one of our men was called by his wife, because the police were at their door wanting to see him. He had to leave us and was gone for two days.
The police were nervous about an upcoming evangelistic outreach in a large city. The very day we concluded our training, the foreign evangelist was beginning a two-day crusade. This is very unusual. These types of activities are normally not allowed or conducted in this country. A similar request for a crusade to be held in a different city a just few months before had been denied. Nevertheless, for some happy reason it was allowed here and now, and all of my pastors in the class were involved in the organization and preparation for these nights of evangelism.
There was a huge turnout for the events. In fact, the evangelist estimated somewhere over 10,000 people heard the messages of hope. And apparently there was a very good response.
Thanks again for your prayers for us. It was a very satisfying two weeks of work.
With encouraging reports like this, it's a joy to serve as president of Asian Access, where we are truly changing the few who change the many.
Thank you for your partnership in prayer and financial support for this work. Just like here are home, remember that the Christmas season provides unitque opportunities for the Gospel to be shared across Asia. Please be praying for many to respond to the Good News this season.
