thermometer 167k match 2019 Fall $111,246Hi Friends!

I want to thank you for your support this year. We really appreciate you. You may remember that this past year one of our leaders came up to me and asked for help. You may know that 10 of the 16 countries in which Asian Access works is facing persecution and pressure, and they've come to me and said:

“Joe, the groups that are helping us, we love them. But we think the equipping of leaders could be better for those of us who are facing persecution. Would you go and see if we can strengthen this part of the church across Asia.”

Forming a Partnership

Well, I went and met with all the different groups that help with persecution today, and they're willing to partner with us. In fact, next March, they've invited me to join them for a big gathering where we're going to talk about how we can collaborate and strengthen one another and work together to empower the persecuted Church.

And it just so happens that we have a matching grant that goes towards that project. As we come to the end of 2019, we have a $167,000 matching challenge. We need to raise that amount by December 31st. Every dollar raised between now and then will be doubled.

Two-Thirds Raised, 33% Still Needed

So far we've raised $111,246. That means there's $56,000 that remains between now and December 31st to match this challenge. If we were to raise all of it, there would be over $300,000 to invest in equipping persecuted leaders.

I thank you for your support. Please pray about coming alongside the persecuted Church with us. And pray for us as we go into this partnership possibility coming into 2020. We're excited about what God has in store for us and we really want to come alongside these brothers and sisters in Christ that are facing the pressures of persecution on an ongoing basis.

Here's a quick video from me: Watch Joe's update on YouTube: https://youtu.be/L9znnePClRs

Thank you for coming alongside partnering with us. Please do pray about this December 31st challenge. We only have $56,000 that remains.

May the Lord bless you richly.

Gratefully,

joe sig blue

SIX COMMON THEMES FOR A TRINITARIAN APPROACH TO LEADING MISSIONS

By Joseph W. Handley, Jr.

Polycentric—Why? And, what’s that?1

As the world grapples with ongoing tensions, polarities, and ever-growing challenges, I am convinced that we need a new approach to leadership. It was this concern that compelled me to study global leadership and see if another form of leadership could prove pivotal to the world in which we lead for this era of God’s mission.

Polycentric Leadership: a leadership model for a polarized world

The past thirteen months have been one of the most disruptive seasons in my lifetime. A global pandemic, one of the worst economies of the century, and a divisive political environment were all contributors. We have faced lock downs, loss of incomes and jobs, and the disease itself—as we still do at this time.
