Lectio365 logoPerhaps you've resolved in 2021 to read more Scripture or to pray more consistently. If so, I think you’ll enjoy this new prayer app that a friend recommended to me. It helps me do both—to actually pray the Scripture every day!

It’s a short, simple, daily reading and prayer prompt that I’ve found to be helpful in my devotion times recently: LECTIO 365 is a daily devotional app for your mobile phone or tablet.

My friend has been using it with a few of his prayer partners as a way to share what God is doing in their lives each day.

Here's more information about LECTIO 365 from its website...

LECTIO 365 is a daily devotional resource that helps you pray the Bible every day.

Written by leaders from the 24-7 Prayer movement, and produced in partnership with CWR, this resource helps you engage with Scripture to inspire prayer and shape your life.

Journey through the year with Pete Greig, Carla Harding, Phil Togwell, Jill Weber, Izwe Nkosi and international guest writers.

Lectio 365 is inspired by Lectio Divina, a way of meditating on the Bible that’s been used by Christians for centuries.

Each day, Pause to be still. Rejoice with a Psalm and Reflect on Scripture. Ask for God’s help, and Yield to His will in your life.

Each week focuses on one of 24-7 Prayer’s core values - six practices that help us live like Jesus - prayer, mission, justice, creativity, hospitality and learning.

We’ll focus on seasons like Advent and Lent with special guest writers from around the world.

Both text and audio options are available and you can download up to a week in advance to read or listen to later.

I'm finding this FREE mobile app to be a real enhancer to my spiritual practices. May it encourage you as well. I hope you give it a try.

New Year's blessings on you in 2021,
