What a joy to sit at a coffee shop in one of the most dynamic cities of Asia today. My wife and I had the privilege of listening to A2 alumni across three different cohorts in country share how their ministry is doing and how they are doing.
One alumnus is leading a network of 18 churches in the city that has 600 people attending. Another said that he leads a group of eight churches with 2,000 people. The third is now leading a local student ministry that is trying to reach the most influential students in his country. He's also working with returnees who studied abroad and have now returned to their mother country.
What Have They Learned?
I asked each of them what they learned, some now ten years after graduating from A2. The common thread was the power of relationships. One said his whole paradigm for ministry changed and that he wouldn't have made it this far if it weren't for the A2 fellowship. Another said that the genetic makeup of A2 was different than any other leadership development ministry and that most of the fruitful ministries in the country are following the A2 way. He encouraged me to study the impact of the movement on his nation suggesting that A2 has tilled tremendous soil fostering the health of the Church across the country.
To see this kind of vibrant community being multiplied was so encouraging to my heart. Healthy churches really do grow and when we invest deeply in one another we see the tremendous fruit bearing that happens.
The core leader said:
"Today the influence of Asian Access is four times the influence of all the previous cohorts combined, and it's now spreading across the country in multiplied fashion."
How do you grow in your faith? How have your relationships fostered dynamic reproducibility? Are you seeing the fruit of multiplicity?
I'd love to hear your ideas! Please share what you're learning...
