Blessed to Be in Community with Bob

Bob & Beth Fuhriman served as missionaries with Cru in Japan starting in 1968. In 1981, they switched to Asian Access (then, LIFE Ministries). I met them in 1987 as an Asian Access short-termer living in Tokyo. I remember carefully watching several of these long-term missionaries to see if I could possibly become one, as well as if these were the people whose community I wanted to join.

A2 launches cohort of Young Professionals

While Asian Access has been known for developing pastors and, more recently, Christian business leaders across Asia, we continue to explore new spheres where kingdom leaders are hungry to grow and to have greater impact. In spite of daunting circumstances in 2020, a vision that God planted in two separate locations has come together in a collaborative hybrid to invest in young professionals. In January of 2021, the Beta version of A2 Young Professionals was launched.

Asian Access/Japan Developing Emerging Leaders

A value we stress in the Asian Access leader development program is finishing well. For leaders to be effective throughout their personal and ministry lives, and to successfully fend off the burnout that cripples so many Kingdom leaders, setting a course intended to help leaders stay the course all the way to the finish is vital. So what better way to do this than to help younger leaders to start well? That is the vision behind the launch of U30, an Asian Access Japan learning community adapted to meet the needs of younger leaders.
